The importance of safeguarding is brought to our attention when tragic cases are reported in the media but it is essential that further education providers do all they can to ensure that all of their learners are kept safe so that they can learn and thrive. Safeguarding is more than having safer recruitment policies and procedures in place. It means having a culture of vigilance where all staff know their responsibilities and act accordingly and all learners are aware of what they can expect and what to do if they have concerns. Medway Adult Education is committed to reviewing and developing our approach to safeguarding.
